To allow users to create notes from with Ascendix Search you must enable the enhanced version of the Salesforce note-taking tool:
Step 1. Click on the gear icon and select Setup.
Step 2. Enter Notes Settings in the Quick Find bar and select the highlighted result.
Step 3. Check Enable Notes and select Save when done.
Step 4. Configure notes according to the Salesforce documentation.
