What is the Mailchimp Audience? 

In Mailchimp, an Audience refers to the collection of all the contacts (subscribers, customers, leads, etc.) that you manage and communicate with through email marketing campaigns. This list serves as a centralized location for storing data about each person you want to reach, including their names, email addresses, and other information you choose to collect (such as interests, purchase history, and more). 

An Audience in Mailchimp helps you segment and target specific groups of people based on various criteria, enabling personalized and effective email campaigns. Whether you're sending newsletters, promotions, or updates, your audience is where you'll organize the individuals or groups that you're communicating with. 

How Many Audiences Can You Have? 

Mailchimp allows users to have a certain number of audiences based on their subscription plan. Each audience can hold unlimited contacts, but the number of separate audiences you can create depends on your pricing tier. 

1. Free Plan (Free) 

• Audiences allowed: 1 audience 

2. Essentials Plan 

• Audiences allowed: 3 audiences 

3. Standard Plan 

• Audiences allowed: 5 audiences 

4. Premium Plan 

• Audiences allowed: Unlimited audiences

How to Manage Your Audience 

With Ascendix Search R1.24, you can manage your Mailchimp audiences while configuring your Mailchimp account. After logging in with your credentials, the system will provide you with the following two options for audience management: 

• Choose Existing - This option allows you to select and manage an existing audience within your Mailchimp account. Simply select the one you need from the dropdown. 
• Create the New - If you prefer to create a new audience, this option allows you to set up one. 

note: the audience may be chosen only once while Mailchimp is being configured. Mailchimp audience configuration at later stages is to be implemented in upcoming releases.
