The new configuration option is added to Ascendix Search setup in the Object Manager, so that the admin user can control the access to the specific objects in Ascendix Search, such as creating/editing records.

Let’s imagine, that you want to limit users from creating/editing Account records:

1. Click on the gear icon and navigate to the Object Manager tab.
2. Hit the button shown at the screenshot to open a new window “[Object Options]” :

Ascendix Search displays the New/Edit button for users with the assigned permissions. To disable either button for all users for Account, select the checkboxes below.

3. Select the checkbox:

• Disable New button
• Disable Edit button

4. Click the Save button to apply the settings.  

After this configuration, the user will not have the visible New/Edit action buttons.

Please note: This functionality will be available only when the object is searchable.
