Configuration of Agentforce Provider for Ascendix Harvest

The Email Parsing tool allows users within your org to convert incoming emails into Salesforce records. To configure the Agentforce provider under the Email Parsing tool, open Ascendix Harvest Admin Console.

    1. Inside the Admin Console, open the Org Settings tab.
    2. The Provider field is set to AgentForce and is read-only. No API key is required — Agentforce uses Salesforce's built-in AI platform credentials.
    3. In the Model dropdown, choose the model to use for parsing. The default is GPT 5.2. The following models are available:
    • Anthropic Opus 4.5
    • Anthropic Sonnet 4.6
    • GPT 5.2 (default)
    • GPT 5.4
    • Gemini 3.1 Pro

         4. Use the Model information table to balance accuracy, speed, and cost:

Model Accuracy (extraction) Speed Cost Level
    GPT 5.2 Excellent Fast High
    GPT 5.4 Excellent Fast High
Anthropic Opus 4.5 Very High Slow High
Anthropic Sonnet 4.6 Very High Medium Medium
Gemini 3.1 Pro Very High Fast Medium

    Recommendation:

    • Start with GPT 5.2 for a balance of accuracy and speed (recommended default).
    • Use Anthropic Sonnet 4.6 or Gemini 3.1 Pro for cost-sensitive workloads that still require high accuracy.
    • Use Anthropic Opus 4.5 or GPT 5.4 for critical use cases where maximum extraction accuracy is required.

             5. If unsure about the model, click Set Recommended in the upper right corner to apply the default configuration (GPT 5.2).

             6. Once the model is selected, click Test Connection to verify that the Agentforce service is reachable. If the test fails, confirm that:

    • Agentforce is enabled in your org (Setup > Agentforce)
    • Your Salesforce org has an active Einstein / Agentforce license

              7. Once the connection test is successful and Objects are configured under the Object tab, enable the tool using the Enable email parsing toggle.

              8. Click Save to persist all settings.

    Security guidelines:

    • Restrict access to this Admin Console to trusted admins only. Review user permission sets and make corresponding changes.
    • Agentforce credentials are managed through Salesforce's platform — no API keys are stored in this tool. Revoke access through Salesforce org user management if needed.
